Announcement Regarding Bullying
Students are encouraged to report any instances of bullying that they witness or are a part of at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School to report@jpkeefehs.org. Submissions are anonymous and students’ identities will be kept confidential. We thank all our students who are helping to eradicate bullying from our school system.
Housebuilding Project
Keefe Technical School students continue work on the school’s annual House Building Project, crafting a home for members of the Chatten Family of Hopkinton for the second time.
Keefe Technical School Carpentry, Electrical, and Plumbing students will work together to assemble and put the finishing touches on the home for the school’s annual House Building Project.

Colleen Chatten of Hopkinton was so impressed with the house that Keefe Technical School students built for her in 2003 that she recommended the school service to her son, Thomas, and daughter-in-law, Laura. She gave them a lot of land beside her house for construction, and the couple applied to the program and was selected through a random lottery system.
“My husband and I are very thankful for this opportunity. We were both raised for the majority of our lives in Hopkinton, and just last year we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to stay in town,” explained Laura Chatten. “So, we feel incredibly fortunate that we have been given this chance to have a future here and continue to raise our children and be close to family. We will be forever grateful to all the Keefe Tech students and staff who have and will be a part of this wonderful project,” she added.
Maintaining its Mission: Keefe Tech has been a mainstay in a changing community
John Hilliard, MetroWest Daily News, 10/12/2007
Times are changing for the Joseph. P. Keefe Technical School as officials search for a new administrator, implement new vocational programs and face greater pressure to quantify the achievement of its students.
“Basically, we think we have a great school here,” said Principal James Lynch. “We have high expectations for (students and) we want them to be proficient.”
