Firearms Safety Club
The Firearms Safety Club’s mission to emphasize the positive influence that shooting sports can have in a person's life. The club provides a safe, comfortable, positive environment that enhances the participant’s self-concept, character, and personal growth through safe, educational, and socially acceptable involvement in shooting sports, while promoting the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship, teamwork, and ethical behavior. The students are enrolled in the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) at the Southborough Rod and Gun Club, which promotes firearms safety training and rifle practice for all qualified U.S. citizens with special emphasis on youth. The CMP cooperates with a network of affiliated shooting clubs and organizations to deliver firearms safety and marksmanship training and competition programs to every state in the U.S.
